Paiting of Disctrict frontSince 1925, the Laguna Beach County Water District has proudly provided reliable, safe, and prudently-managed retail water service to our customers.

Today, the District provides water services to 25,000 people within a 8.5 square mile area of Southern Orange County, including portions of the city of Laguna Beach, a portion of Crystal Cove State Park, and the unincorporated community of Emerald Bay.

The District's 8,450 service connections service mostly residential water users. The District sells about 4,500 acre feet of water annually. This is equal to approximately 1.5 billion gallons delivered on an annual basis.

The District's water is provided from local groundwater supplies and imported water from either the Colorado River or from Northern California. In our continuing efforts to supply a reliable source of water for the community, the District has resumed its groundwater pumping in the Santa Ana River Basin and is looking into other water supply projects as future additional sources of water.
